Except the foreword and tag, this paper is composed of three parts, thoseare,a two-chapter text, some appendicesand references. Briefly, theprefaceexplains the reasons and the angle of research and theacademicsignificance of the paper, as well as analyzes the investigation status atpresent, the theories involved in the article, the innovations of the thesis, andthe difficulties had overcome. In the firstchapter, theecologicalconsciousness inMongolianprimitivefaithsaredescribedand analyzed. In the first place, theoverviewofMongolia nationality in the first half of thirteenth Centuryand themain forms of worship in primitive belief in Mongolia, such as the worship ofheaven, earth, sun, moon, wind, thunder, mountain, river, fire, tree andancestors, is summarized. And then, the ecological tradition unfolded fromtheMongolia ancient beliefs and worships is expatiated, such as respectingfor life and nature, coexisting with nature, following the natural law.In the second chapter, theecological thought from the Mongolianoriginalworship are interpreted from a perspective of theories of Religious Studies. That is to say, theecological thought and performanceof Mongolian arestudied and summarized in three respects, which are,the basic concept of theprimitive religion(including the world outlook, the view of nature, the view ofsouls), the expressions of religious emotion(including the awesomefeeling, thedependentfeeling, the amazing feeling, thesentimentofsalvation, thesense of mystery),and the theory about polytheistic, human soul and naturespirits from Animism. In the end,the author draws the conclusion:The simple ecological ideas ofancient Mongols, which can be detected from the main form of their primitivebelief, paid attention to the harmony between people and nature andemphasized the behavior restriction against wanton destruction. One the onehang, ecological habits of a nation result from its ecological concepts are ethic, which is a soft constraint for the destructive actions. On the other hand, ecological protection system initiates from a nation’s ecological pointsof view is a hard rule for human behavior.People has to abide by not onlyethical practices, the soft constraint, but also the laws and regulations, thehard rules.Futhermore, there are other beneficial ecological ideology shouldalso be followedwhich constraints and correct those natural destructionbehaviors together. Mongolian ecological ideas, which are pervasive with along history, have a profound effect on the development of Mongolia historyand economic life. They are also valuable references for the exploration oftoday’s new theories on ecological conservation and reasonable exploitation.
