In recent year, second language oral classes have transformed from teacher-interpreted to student-centered model. Compliance of classroom questioning has become a new hot research interest among second language teachers.This study, from four different perspectives, focuses on the nature of compliance and optimization strategies of teachers’ questioning in second language oral classes. Second language teachers should design distinguishing questioning methods to adapt to different classroom environment and different levels of students, so as to help students improve their understanding and oral expression; The differences between native and non-native English teachers’ classroom questioning shows language teachers from different cultural background need to learn from each other to improve the efficiency of classroom questioning; The comparison of TCSL teachers and native English teachers’ classroom questioning helps us reveal some language input, output and management methods of questioning strategies, including examination questions, deductive questions, inductive questions, suggestive questions, inspiring questions, inquiring questions and encouraging questions.The compliance and optimization of second language teachers’ questioning strategies will improve the effectiveness of language input and promote the accuracy of the students’ language output. |
