Nowadays, there are many problems in the CSL (Chinese as Second Language) oral class, such as informal designing, lack of theoretical guidance and so on.At the same time, students also have misunderstandings and confusion about the scene designed by teachers. We need much more in-depth research and studies, In the second language teaching practice, scene plays a very important role.Teachers design scenes to provide students with real-life scene of language use, and help them understand and complete meaningful knowledge construction.Based on the theory of constructivism, this paper has launched a series of class research. In order to ensure the authenticity and preciseness of research, this paper links closely to real-life oral Chinese class, applies some examples to discuss and analyze the design and classification of all kinds of scenes.Firstly,we deeply analyze the current situation of scene design in CSL oral class, and classify the teaching scenes into real-life scenes, imaginary scenes and pragmatic scenes.Real-life scenes include in-class display and out-class task. Imaginary scenes include story scene, question scene, imagination scene and role-play scene.Meanwhile, with observation of oral class, we have found that use and distribution of three types of scenes are not balanced, and in real-life teaching practices, scenes that teachers design are usually not single type, but a combination of different types of scenes.Meanwhile, this paper has respectively surveyed teachers and students. The survey of teachers is about ways of designing oral class scenes, methods, and problems. Teachers adopt different ways of designing class scenes and the common ways are practical and real-life language, story and games situations. The greatest difficulty teachers face when designing scenes is from lack of situation materials and burden of teaching task.Survey of students is about their response to teachers’ situations and difficulties in understanding the scenes.Students would like teachers to design vivid and detailed scenes with multi-media.They also pay special attention to the fun and participation possibility of scenes.Students’difficulty in understanding teachers’scenes is from cultural differences and lack of relevant life experience.According to the above investigation and analysis,we realize that in oral Chinese class there is a gap between scenes designed by teachers and the expectation of students;in order to narrow the gap between teachers and students showing in the survey,We suggest that teachers should collect and choose scene materials which are closely related to real life, pay attention to students’participation and deal with students’questions positively.I hope that this research conclusions and teaching advices will help our teachers to improve the teaching skills, and find new possibility in improving the current situation of designing CSL oral class scenes.
