Based on research of death attitude at home and abroad,theresearch is to find the characteristics and influence factors of deathattitude of undergraduates in Shanghai by questionnaire sunvey. Basedon the primary test, the group intervention is formed to reduceundergraduates death anxiety and the fear of death. The resultssuggests that:L Undergraduates’ attitudes toward death in five dimensions,natural to accept scores the highest, followed by death to escape, thefear of death,approach acceptance,escape acceptance.2. There was110significant difference between male and femalestudents in each dimensionality of death attitude. On the factor ofexpenditure monthly, there was no significant difference in eachdimensionality of attitudes toward death. Undergraduates have higherscore of death avoidance. Minority undergraduates have higher scoresthan Han students in the dimensionality of escape from death. Liberalarts students have higher score of escape acceptance. Undergraduateswith religious belief have higher score of approach acceptance andescape acceptance. Undergraduates with no training on death havehigher score of death fear, death avoidance, and lower score ofapproach acceptance. Undergraduates without the experience of risk events have higher score of fear of death, death to escape,approach acceptance. Undergraduates with relatives death have lowerscore of death anxiety and fear of death.3,Regression analysis of death attitude: Undergraduates withoutparticipating in training on death have higher score of fear of death.Undergraduates without the experience of risk events, participating intraining on death have higher score of death to escape.Undergraduates with a religious belief and without experience of therisk events have higher score of approach acceptance. Undergraduatesmajor in Liberal arts have higher score of escape acceptance.4.In the course of group counseling, Undergraduates’ attitudestoward death change. These effects can be seen from the comparisonof the before and after score of the control group, the interventiongroup. In addition, group feedback also shows that the members havea significant positive change on death attitudes.
