The existential sentence is a special sentence in modern Chinese. Thispaper mainly uses the predicate logic method in the formal semantics to discuss theexistential sentences. In this way, we can fully grasp its structure form and make thecomplexity of semantic features of predicate structure part to be formalization. At thesame time, it is convenient to Computer identification and teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage. This paper is divided into four parts to discuss the formal semantic analysis ofexistential sentences. The first part introduces the theoretical basis, research methods, research significance and research status of the existential sentence. Through the resultsof previous studies, the second part mainly is about the scope of existential sentences, standard and the existential sentence classification which we do some supplement andperfection. In the third part, we arrange and summarize the structure form of theexistential sentences in three parts (NP1、VP、NP2) Combining the existing literature anda typical example. Meanwhile, we state the syntactic structure of the sentence which thefirst part is time words or locative prepositional phrases in the form of classification. The fourth part is the core of the paper. We use the predicate logic method in the formalsemantics to discuss and to describe, analysis and explain the existential sentences aboutthe inner semantic features, semantic relation, the predicate part of logical and semanticcharacteristics. We are trying to carry out multi angle of existential sentences from the perspectiveof formal semantics by means of combining with relevant knowledge of linguisticsaccording to previous research methods and research perspective. However, the paper isfocused on logical semantic relations of the predicate.
