A sample of525subjects selected from a key high school in Tongliao is involved. On the basis of the result, some suggestions to enhance the sense of fairness and fair behavior of middle school students are provided. The main conclusions are as following:1. Subjects from different grades vary remarkably in justice sensitivity. Justice sensitivity of students in senior Grade One is much higher than that of Grade Three while justice sensitivity of students in Grade Two is much higher than that of Grade Three. The three dimensions of justice sensitivity also have remarkable distinctions among students in different grades. Students in senior Grade One scored evidently higher than students in Grade Two and Grade Three from the victim sensitivity and observer sensitivity dimensions. When it comes to beneficiary sensitivity, students in senior Grade One scored notably higher than students in Grade Three. There is no distinct difference among students of different genders or whether have siblings.2. From aspect of view of human nature, girls and boys score differently in trustworthiness. Girls score higher than boys. Students without siblings score higher than students with siblings. On the dimension of cynicism, there is a remarkable difference among students in different grades, the score of the students who are in Grade One is higher than that in Grade Two and Grade Three. As trustworthiness, there is an apparent distinction due to mothers’ education level, the scores of the students whose mothers’ education level is below primary school are notably higher than the students whose mothers’ education level is higher than college.3. There is a significant positive correlation between victim sensitivity and cynicism of high school students, r=0.318. There is a remarkable negative correlation between the victim sensitivity and trustworthiness, r=-0.108. There is a notable positive correlation between the beneficiary sensitivity and trustworthiness, r=0.117.4. In the Mini-Ultimatum Game, most high school students take into account the principle of fairness when they are bidders. Some high school students take actions to benefit others while knowing their behavior have detrimental effects on their own interests. Being responders, students not only consider the unfair results, but also intentions behind bidders’ behavior.5. At four different types of subjects, sensitive subjects take more account of the intention behind the action when making decisions; egoistic subjects consider more equitable outcomes when making decisions; selfless subjects have a higher tolerance level to the unfair result and intent. |
