Li Weixin And The Environmental Protection Of Guilin

Environmental protections have been concerned by us since ancient times. But various environmental issues emerge in an endless stream in recent years, especially the haze, which has been the hottest topic. From the perspective of country, the state leaders expressed resolute attitudes on environmental pollution control in the two sessions this year, and the policies they made also reflect their concerns and stress. For the social public, with the economic developing and living standards improving, and with environmental awareness increasing and many environmental issues arising, they participate consciously in the environmental protections in kinds of ways. Therefore, environmental issues are always the focus of most concern of country, society and people. Guilin is the city known for its beautiful surroundings, which has abundant natural landscapes and historical and cultural heritage, and it is also a famous tourist city as well as a cultural city with a long history in China. The National Development and Reform Commission officially approved the "Guilin International Tourism Resort Construction and Development Plan" on Oct.2012, and various enterprise of Guilin entered into a new stage. In this plan, higher acquirements were put forward to the development and protection of natural landscapes and environment of Guilin. But Guilin stress on the industries after the establishment of New China in1949, so that, many environmental issues were common in the process of the development of tourism when China begin to reform and open to the outside world. Li Weixin, as an environmentalist who came from people, appealed actively to protect natural landscapes and historical and cultural heritage of Guilin, and then became to the typical of environmentalists. And Environmental protections have its peculiarity to Guilin. Therefore, how to protect the environment better and to prompt the environmental decisions more democratization and scientific, and to make full use of the non-governmental environmental protection force to protect the environment better, which is urgent to prompt the sustainable development of tourism.This article base on the academic achievements of predecessor and comprehensive analysis of various data, with Li Weixin and the environmental problems of Guilin as the research object to explore the environmental problem of Guilin in the1980s and1990s. Combining Li ideas with behavior about Li Weixin in environmental protection, to research the environmental decisions more democratization and scientific, and the development direction of environmental protection in the situation of Guilin now.This paper has six chapters.The first chapter is introduction. First, introducing the reason and the significance of this paper, and summarizing the academic achievements of environmental protection about Guilin and Li Weixin in the domestic. Pointing out the weakness of this article and introduces the research methods.The second chapter is environmental problems and protection about Guilin in the1980s and1990s. First, with developing of economy, raising environmental problems and the reasons in this period. Second, discuss the non-governmental environmental protection force to Guilin, and mainly the profiles and environmental protection work of Li Weixin.The third chapter is ideas of environmental protection about Li Weixn. Mainly include three aspects, the urban planning, natural resources and historic-cultural resources about Guilin. To analyze the causes of form this idea, mainly content, evaluation, give priority to with content.The fourth chapter is Li Weixin do some things for environmental protection in Guilin. Through examples to illustrate environmental behavior of Li. Mainly include protection of the Lijiang River, natural resources and three historic-cultural resources three aspects.The fifth chapter is contribution to environmental protection about Li. To contribution have both theoretical significance and practical significance, and analyzes the reason of emerging both power and resistance. The sixth chapter is enlightenment to environmental protection about from Li. Discussed about how to prompt the environmental decisions more democratization and scientific. So we should make full use of the non-governmental environmental protection force. Pointed out the development direction of environmental protection in the situation of Guilin now.
