| Lu xixing is a famous Taoism scholars in Ming Dynasty. He is a synthesizer of the theories of integrated cultivation, but there hasn’t any systematic studies on him within the academic circle. Therefore, this article attempts to conduct a comprehensive study on Lu xixing’s thoughts on Dan tao philosophy thoughts, which based on the previous results.This article generally include an introduction, four chapters, conclusion. The introduction discuss Lu xixing’s life story, his friends and writings., and cleans up his legend experience on approaching Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Lu xixing wrote dozens of books, including"Stories of the Fanghu","Commentary on Chuang-tzu","Commentary on Surangama Sutra","Commentary on Lankavatara Sutra". Then, the author makes a brief instruction of present achievements and based on this to confirm the contents and methods of this paper.The chapter one discusses the origin of Lu xixing’s Dan tao philosophy thoughts. Lu xixing’s thought is a confluence and echo about the combination of three religions and the trend of religion secularization. Lu xixing claims that the three school of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism has the same one with origin and principle.Lu xixing also think there is no difference among Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism.The chapter two illustrates Lu xixing’s theory of Cosmology. Lu xixing’s theory of Cosmology consists of two parts:the theory of Tao-Ti and the theory of Generate and Change. Lu xixing thinks that Tao can been divided into Ordinary Tao and Special Tao. Lu xixing explains Tao theory through three counterpart concepts Ti-Yong, You-Wu, Xu-Shi. In the section of Generate and Change theory, this article described the biochemical model, on the basis of the "Center map of Golden Elixir".The chapter three expounds Lu xixing’s theory of Nature and Life. Lu xixing claims that Nature is all alike, it’s only in their Life that they differ. The relations between the Nature and Life could be construed as wu-ji to tai-ji. Lu xixing argues that there is the inextricable like between the Nature and Life, he also holds that immortals can be achieved only when cultivating both Nature and Life.The chapter four expounds Lu xixing’s theory of Elixir methods, mainly illustrates the procedures and methods of Elixir. Lu xixing’s theory of Elixir methods consists of two parts:Outer Alchemy and Inner Alchemy, the later is the center of his theory. The contribution of Lu xixing’s theory of Inner Alchemy mainly improvements the theory of integrated cultivation, and expands the method of integrated cultivation.Finally, the conclusion part briefly analyzes the innovations of Lu xixing’s theory of Elixir methods, introduced the background of the east sect’s origination and the difference between east sect and west sect. Meanwhile, this part also point out that the Lu Xixing’s theory of Elixir methods is inherited by Li xiyue, west sect is actually the one who inherits and develops east sect. |
