| In this paper, we take the phonetic system, the entering tone, Erhua and the continuous tone-changes of Zanhuang dialect as the research objects. Based upon the investigation, the paper study by methods of statistical analysis, parallel description and diachronic comparison. We try our best to make a comprehensive phonetic study of Zanhuang dialect. So we can provide reference materials for the study of Jin Dialect in Hebei province and make up of the shortage of the predecessors’ research on Zanhuang dialect. This paper is mainly divided into three parts, roughly as follows:First, detailed descrip the phonetic system of Zanhuang dialect, make rhymes split table, compare the phonetic system of Zanhuang dialect with that of mid-ancient chniese. Then make the homophone list and find out the special pronunciation of Zanhuang dialect. Second, study the problem of the entering tone in Zanhuang dialect. Third, describe the classification of Erhua, analyze the two types of continuous tone-changes, study mainly the phenomenon of modified level tone before light tone.we draw the following conclusions from the paper:First, there are23consonants,39vowels and4tones in the phonetic system. There is an obvious JianTuanYin pronunciation phenomenon. Affected by mandarin Zanhuang dialect without glottal stop, Ru rhyme may be included in Yin rhyme. Level tone regardless of yin and yang.Second, a part of entering tone characters are retain independent entering tone, the tone pitch is23; another part of entering tone characters are moved to the other three tone category. There are two cases of the moving:one has be done, another is doing. Third, the evolution of entering tone obviously restricted by initial conditions. Whether the entering tone reserve or not, and change into which tone mainly depends on the consonant’s type. Fourth, affected by [J] retroflex effects not only the final of the word before Erhua has changed, the initial has changed under certain conditions too.Fifth, the tone value [53] may be the original appearance of the rising tone at a certain stage in the early phase. Zanhuang dialect level tone and rising tone may be separated at an early age. Just because the two type are all falling tone, and [54] and [53] are very close, the two subsequently combined into one. The tone value [53] and the tone value of rising tone in some counties or cities around Zanhuang, most of Xingtai and Qiuxian are the same. |
