The late Ming Dynasty, was the time of political violence andsocial upheavals,and also the time of culture art vigorousprosperous. In terms of painting, masters came forth in largenumbers, painting schools built and widely spreaded in that time.Because of the prosperous economic and culture and developedmarket,Jiangnan became the desireable place of men of literatureand writing from different place in late Ming Dynasty.Yang Longyouwho born in Guizhou province,was moved to Jinling by order of hismother in that time.Yang Longyou(1596-1646),named Wencong,assumedname Shanzi,also named Bozi,native place was Guiyang Guizhouprovince.Ming Wanli46years(in1618),Yang Longyou passed theprovincial examinations.Soon after he arrived Nanjing,Fu She wasorganized,he became the early memeber,and befriended with ZhangPu,and Chen Zilong,Wu Yingji who were the memeber of "Fu She fourman".In Jiangnan,he had a close relationship with many luminariessuch as Dong Qichang,Chen Jiru,Ni Yuanlu,Li Rihua and so on.Longyou poems "sinmay hall collection""landscape""diary" TaiwanDang shift, when Xia Yunding made "Chongzheneight poems", friendsof Dong Qichang, Chen Jiru, long and Wang Siren etc with the selected. The Mo Youzhi that his "bone upright shore ISO, thearrogant will",and praised their product integrity cloud:"Sir value leftMingendgame, Jude Mantis arm Zhi brace, Wang Si recovery, creamrather than return to its social, moral integrity has very long!"Most scholars in late Ming Dynasty liked traveling,"A rodin hand,thousand mountains under foot",mountain scenery came intoheart,especially for painters,besides enjoyed the landscape totheir satisfaction,cultivated their taste and refresh theirmind,traveling also helped they to sketched to the view and gotinspiration.So after Longyou went to Jiangnan,he traveled manyplaces,climbed mountains to view the scenery,imitated thescenery.He said:"I grow the hills, andMonseigneur addictionlandscape, named the mountains and rivers, oftentemper withlearning, often by phase together, the so-called habit, alsorootfetal bone."The Jiangnan scenery his visited were all in hispaintings,and the painting style is outstanding in late MingDynasty.Yu Jianhua’s Chinese Painting History listed Yang Longyouinto one painter of scenery depiction painting shcool.It showed hisachievement and status.This paper proceed from Yang Longyou’s family background,lifestory and frindships,combing his relationship with scholar art circles,investigating late Ming Dynasty’s culture and YangLongyou’s painting and calligraphy life,futher analysising YangLongyou’s painting and calligraphy skill inheritance and style,andhigh level of his inscription paintings.Through Yang Longyou’s casestudy,by investigating painting style change and linguistic turnin late Ming Dynasty to explore the social culture enviornment andscholar’s art life in late Ming Dynasty.
