The Design Of Virtual Quanzhou Marionette Performance System Based On Gesture Interaction Technique

Quanzhou marionette theater is an intangible cultural heritage of the millenniumwith high artistic and cultural value, it’s a treasure of Chinese intangible culturalheritage. Now, the erosion by foreign culture and local culture erosion leads to theinheritance and development of Quanzhou marionette theater has been facing a crisis.While the existing limited digital methods are too simple and not comprehensiveenough, that have little useful effects on protecting Quanzhou marionette theater whichis in urgent need of protection. So this thesis is devoted to the study of virtual Quanzhoumarionette theater performance system based on gesture interaction technique，and wantto complete a virtual performance system that people could build the role model theylike and use simple gestures to control virtual marionette role within it.First of all， this thesis will explores artistic value of the Quanzhou marionettetheater from the material choosing and making process of marionettes, the contents andthe analysis of art characteristics from model, language, performance, music, space-timesystematically. And then analyze the current situation of art heritage of Quanzhoumarionette theater, found out the problems and shortcomings of protection and putforward the significance and value of the design of virtual Quanzhou marionetteperformance system based on gesture interaction technique.Secondly， this thesis will analyze the design features of the virtual Quanzhoumarionette performance system based on Leap Motion gesture interaction technique andintegrated application of multi technology. Then it puts forward the design principles ofthe system from the angle of digital protection of Quanzhou marionette performance,and puts forward the design methods of it according to these principles.Finally，this thesis will analyze the actual significance in the aesthetic experienceand cultural inheritance of this system after finishing it, and then point out theimprovement and upgrading ideas of the system based on the understanding andsentiment of the research process.This thesis researches the design of virtual Quanzhou marionette performancesystem from the protection and inheritance of artistic value, the principles and methodsof the virtual system design. It explores the actual significance of the system design, andprovide new ideas for the protection of the Quanzhou marionette theater research andbeneficial exploration on the development and protection of the intangible culturalheritage based on gesture interaction technique.
