The Changes In Chinese Documentary Research

Documentary is known as "the culture of the high character", as a kind of art, thecontribution of documentary is more than itself. From its external output, you candetect the culture of a country and the image of a nation. From its broadcasting indomestic is the best way to transfer the national culture, values and of the stateideology. The existence of documentary is more valuable than any other kind of art,and the value was unearthed constantly in the study of documentary.The documentary in China started late, it was improved developed by absorbingthe advanced ideas in other country. The study of the documentary has beenaccompanied by the development of documentary and carried out from thebeginning of easily appreciate of the documentary, to thinking and suggesting ontheory and creation of the documentary, until to prospecting and planning for thedevelopment. The study of documentary is a barometer of documentary’s industrialdevelopment, and the most directly reflects the situation of the documentary, andguides the direction of China’s documentary no matter in theory or methods.It can deepen our understanding of the documentary by combing the status of thedocumentary research, understand the changes of the documentary research and thestudy of the forward documentary study. This article will make a clear line of thedocumentary research in two aspects: time and content. First, according to thedifferent types of literature, journal articles, dissertations and book,the three aspectsanalyses the regular patter of the documentary research from1950to2013. Secondly,analyses the content of the documentary research by classifying the research bytheory\functional studies and industry research to find the changes of documentaryresearch. At the last of the article, I put forward issues in the documentary researchand factors which influence the development of the documentary research.
