Folklore as an academic term, after the "May Fourth" NewCulture Movement, it emerges and becomes popular. It refersto the oral creations of the working people, which spread inthe broadest masses of people, primarily reflecting their livesand thoughts and emotions, expressing their aesthetic ideas andartistic taste, with its own artistic characteristics.Folklore including mythologies, legends, folk tales, folksongs, epics and folk narrative poems, proverbs, riddles, folkdramas,folk raps and other genres of folk art. Dong ethnicminority has a rich and unique folklore. It records the Dongpeople’s thinking of the protection of natural ecological.Dong people not only regards natural as the mother of giventheir life, and considers that the nature of the "animism",which forms the ecological awareness of protection the naturaland obeys the natural law. In this paper, Guizhou Dong folkloreas the object of study, so conducts detailed analysis ofecological awareness of Dong folklore: The first chapterstudies the formation of the Dong ecological awareness, andanalyzes its specific performance; The second chapter studies the Guizhou Dong folklore which reflects the natural ecologicalvalue; Chapter third discusses the Guizhou Dong folklore ofsocial and ecological beauty, also to explore the role ofnatural conditions during the formation of the social andecological beauty; The fourth chapter analyzes the DongFolklore analogy rhetorical nature, vividly showing theinseparable relationship between the Dong people and nature.Epilogue noted Guizhou Dong folklore tradition of ecologicalawareness is an integral part of the Dong culture, it plays apositive role of constraint on people’s behavior and protectingthe natural environment.
