| The minimum amount of basic vocabulary is not only an indispensableconstituent of any language, but also the core of social intercourse. Researches on theminimum amount of basic vocabulary are significant for verbal ability acquisition,second language teaching. Basing on past research, a minimum basic Uighurglossary is proposed in combination with the linguistic features of Uighur in thispaper. Meanwhile, a questionnaire survey is carried out in order to verify the glossary.It is hoped that this glossary could be an useful reference for Uighur vocabularyteaching. |
