Yan Fu’s Economic Ethical Ideology And Its Contemporary Value

There have been a number of important issues needed to be solved in thedevelopment of contemporary Chinese society during its transitional period, whichmade a high requirements for the contemporary economical ethics. To meet the needsof economic ethics of the times, contemporary economical ethics should absorbvaluable resources from traditional ethical ideas. As one of the most importantpromoter of modern ethics in the transitional period, Yan Fu’s economic ethicalideology contains a wealth of contents, which has a certain reference value to thedevelopment of contemporary economic ethics. Therefore, the present study focus ondiscussing the contemporary economic ethics value of Yan Fu’s economic ethnicalideology in the contemporary context.There are four parts in this research paper, which all discuss Yan Fu’s thought ofEconomic Ethics. Part one is the introduction, which mainly discusses thesignificance of Yan Fu’s economic ethical ideology, combing previewer studies athome and abroad, putting forward the idea of writing styles, writing methods, thedifficulties and innovations of this study. Part two is the two basics of Yan Fu’seconomic ethical ideology: realities basis and theoretical basis. Reality focuses onthe social background of the formation of ethical thoughts, which has two levels:economic and political levels. In the economic level, with the big invasion of foreigncapitalism and the gradual disintegration of the natural economy, significant changeshave taken place in the socio-economic structures and national capitalism, fightingfor their own development. In the political level, after the collapse of the old feudal,and the emerging bourgeoisie political arena, they fight for their political rights,trying to save the country a path to explore the bourgeoisie. This section analyzes thetheoretical basis of Yan Fu Thought of Economic Ethics produce theoretical roots,including the theory of evolution as the core of Evolution philosophy, classicaleconomics, and other natural humanity and Western doctrine of utilitarianism. YanFu use these modern Western thought as a theoretical tool to criticize the traditionaleconomic ethics thought and promote the modern Ethics during the transitionalperiod. Part three explains the main content and features of Yan Fu’s EconomicEthics. Yan Fu’s thought of Economic Ethics are considered including“Righteousness one” as the core concept of Righteousness, which focusing on“balanced distribution” of wealth concept, and it was advocated as a “reasonableconsumer” extravagancing three aspects on the basis grasp the main contentsummarizes the characteristics of the four main economic ethics of Yan Fu, his tremendous and the spirit of rationalism, the integrated use of Western economictheory transform all pass on traditional ethical thought, with bourgeois enlightenmentcolor and a strong sense of national salvation. Part four focus on economic ethics ofYan Fu’s Contemporary Review. Firstly, it will explore the significance ofcontemporary economic thinking of Yan Fu’s ethical development. In this paper, YanFu’s Ideology of Economic Ethical rationalism embodied the spirit of the times thequality of innovation and patriotic feelings to achieve better development ofcontemporary economic ethics has reference value. Secondly, this study will exploreYan Fu’s thought of Economic Ethics for achieving sustainable development, andpromote the rational allocation of social and correctly handle the relationshipbetween accumulation and consumption sectors of economic activity specificrevelation.In summary, Yan Fu’s ideology of Economic Ethics is an important part ofmodern ethical transformation, which has important research value. Through thestudy of Yan Fu’s economic ethics, thinking critically to absorb its essence, this paperwill promote the development of contemporary economic ethics, and establish asound economic ethics order to provide theoretical support for our economic life.
