ChinagWen-yeh was a legendary composer in the modern history of China.During his career life for more than30years, He composed more the130piece ofmusical works, and1/4of the works were piano music. His compositions which werein diverse forms, avant-grade and tranditional, can be defined as the continuation andinnovation of the trandition.《Five sketches》was composed by ChinagWen-yeh in1935. because of theinfluence of Hungarian musician Bela Bartok(1881-1945), in this musical work heused some composition skills of Bartok’s period extensively.During the period of studying compositon, ChinagWen-yeh also had his ownunique method. His skills of composition were almost studied by himself. His attitudeon composition was ‘self-taught’ and he taught himself by more listening, morewatching, more thinking. From1935, his works were released one after another andrewarded frequently. Then ChinagWen-yeh had laid the foundations in Janpanesemusic circles and after that his works were introduced to Europe and America. Finally,ChinagWen-yeh became a well-knowm composer all over this world.
