This report is based on the translation of Conflict and Control: Law and Order inNineteenth Century Italy. It consists of four parts, namely, task description, processdescription, case analysis, and conclusions. Moreover, considering the verbal and non-verbal fetches with stylistics. It discusses the translation techniques as well as problemsduring the translation. Under the guidance of stylistics, this report underlines the effectof audience, especially in the choice of style and translation techniques for terms.In conclusion, a qualified translator should make every effort to enhance thereadability of the target text, meanwhile, be faithful to the source texts. Besides,broaden horizons, and learn to make use of different kinds of translation tools andparallel texts, thus, to ensure the professionalism of translation. |
