A Comparative Research On Forgiveness Level Of Christian And No Religion In College Students

Forgiveness firstly as a religious and philosophical field, why it gradually gainsthe psychology, pedagogy, medicine and sociological inquiry theme in contemporarysociety? This transition of research paradigm and development in the field couldaccounts for the new steering of social problems, interpersonal contradiction andconflict under the great extent in the rapid changing society and times acceleration.This makes people everywhere to seek the remedy to try to solve. But thecountermeasures of the points have specimens. People found forgiveness is aneffective way to solve the conflicts of the relationships between people andcontradiction in many fields after a long-term "trial-and-error" and continuousexploration, although forgiveness in theory and practice application still has someproblems, but it still is a welcome antidote.A series of violent events and tragedy are happening in contemporary universitycampus, which put forward higher request and expectations to our educational work.Indeed, our education workers made many efforts, but obtained a little effect. It isunnecessary to list the various reasons in details.But if we can change an angle to think, it is possible to break this problem andopen the gap. Which means, if we can introduce forgiveness education to university,and make it into college students’ heart creed, it is certainly play the positive role ofregulation for various kinds of malignant campus events.In view of this, the study does an empirical research of forgiveness level betweenChristian university students and no religious college students. The study comparesthe two types of group of college students in whether there are significantly differenton the forgiveness factors. The survey tools are Fuhong modified the "China-MulletForgiveness Questionnaire"(CMFQ) and Thompson made up the scale of HeartlandForgiveness Scale(HFS).The research objects are281college students from fiveuniversities and colleges in Jiangxi province Nanchang city. The all survey userandom sampling method of registered name. The statistical methods are: descriptivestatistics analysis, independent sample t-test, variance analysis, stepwise regressionanalysis method. The conclusion is as follows:1、Christian are easier to forgive others than no religious college students 2、The Christian are less likely to Self-forgiveness than no religious collegestudents3、Christian college students perform more act of forgiveness than no religiouscollege students4、The belief time and the religious with forgiveness have no significantcorrelation5、interpersonal forgiveness can effectively predict the act of forgiveness...
