Study On Bao Shichen’s Thoughts Of Managing The Society

Bao Shichen is a extraordinary person who lived in the age of historic change that Qing Dynasty was declining from golden age, and gained outstanding achievement in several subjects such as the thought of managing country, literary theory and calligraphy theory. By several reasons, his status in history had not been paid attention. Under the direction of historic materialism and dialectical materialism, this paper, in researching the history of ideas, only discuss the thought of canal transportation reforming, Yellow River managing, salt-policies reforming, agricultural policies reforming and relief measures in famine, through the first-hand material, the personal experience of Bao Shichen, the closing connection of social underground at that time. The purpose is reappearing the scenes of social change in the age from Qianlong to Xianfeng and discovering the great substance and the applications for society of Bao’s thought of managing society, and clearing his important status and profound influence in Chinese history of ideas.
