Computer Tech Terms Are Included In Modern Chinese Dictionary Investigation

With the rapid development of science and technology of the world, communicationsand exchanges among all countries and regions become more and more frequently. In ordernot to affect exchanges, it’s necessary and urgent to regulate and unify Scientific andtechnical terms. The rapid development of computer technology in recent years has made thecomputer science and technology terms become more and more close to our life.Regarding computer science and technology terms (Hereinafter referred to as thecomputer terms) as the research object and the People’s Daily as a source of corpus, this paperobserves use of the computer terms in general fields. This paper can be divided into four parts:Chapter1is the introduction, mainly introduced the research background and significance,research status, research object, purpose, sources of corpus and so on. Chapter2discussessimilarities and differences of the terms between the " Modern Chinese Dictionary"(5thedition)and "Computer Science Technology Terms"(2nd edition)as well as the differences ofexamples used in the People’s Daily. Chapter3is research on the use of computer term inthe People’s Daily, and shows that if meaning of terms or the use of fields would change inreal situation, and what the meaning and use of field is if changes. The forth part analyses theuse of computer terms in general fields, putting forward that the differences of computerscience and technology terms in professional field and general field should be viewedcorrectly.
