Study On Multi-vitamin And Mineral (MVM) Soft Capsules

Multi-vitamin and mineral （MVM） soft capsule is made of water-and oil-soluble vitamins and minerals. The intake of MVM soft capsule containing vitamins and minerals contributes to the total intake of these nutrients. For some individuals, this preparation contribute a larger proportion of micronutrient intake than do intake from foods alone. These vitamins and minerals as solid form are dispersed in soybean oils.So we systematically researched on the pharmaceutical pharmacy of the soft capsule, mainly including the preparative process, preformulation and its stability.The High-performance liquid chromatography （HPLC） method was developed to determine the content of vitamin A、calcium pantothenate and vitaminB₁、vitamininB₂、vitaminB₆、niacamide in the soft capsule. The content of choline bitartrate and phorphours was determined with the ultraviolet spectrophotometry （UV） method and the content of potassium iodide was determined with the iodide-selective electrode using the direct-potentiometric analysis method.According to the moisture absorption experiment, the critical relative humidity of some compounds was studied. The circumstance relative humidity should be controlled under RH 50%. The solvent dispersion method could improve the content uniformity of micronutrients with potassium iodide as model drugs to optimize the method. The results showed that this preparation was reproducibility and technology simply.According to formula optimization, the ratio of powdered and soybean oil was 1:2（w/w）, the ratio of the beeswax, soybean Phospholipid, partlly with soybean oil was 4%（w/w）, 2%（w/w）.The content fluidity of soft capsules was good, the stability of suspend was high.According to" Stability test requests for the new ", inspect on stability of the soft capsules was also carried out and according to" Chinese Pharmacopoeia"（2005）, the content uniformity and disintegration time were examined.The examining result of samples showed that the content uniformity≤10%, and that the disintegration time was in 1h. Through inspection on preliminary stability of this product for 6 months, the character, identification, disintegration time, content determination were no great change.
