ObjectiveWe summarized the clinical features、examination and treatment of migraine in children with different sex and age.The aim of this study was to made a comparison with those symptoms to understand migraine headaches better.MethodsWe collected 96 children with migraine treated in the outpatient of Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from January 2015 to January 2016. After some necessary examinations, we summarized the clinical features and prognosis of them systematically.ResultsWe collected clinical data of 96 people totally by 47 men and 49 women. The age of onset was 3 to 15 years old, the average male age of onset was 7.99±3.12 years old. The average female age of onset was 6.35± 2.53 years. Other information includes: Age, duration of migraine attacks, frequency of attack, family history, aura, gastrointestinal symptoms, predisposing factors, examination and therapeutic effects.We also compared these clinical features according to gender,age and therapy.Conclusion1. According to the preliminary results of this study and the clinical manifestations of adult migraine, we found that children with migraine has the following clinical characteristics:⑴ There is no difference in gender,but girls got a early onset age than boys. Although the onset of headache, the first symptom of dizziness, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain is common in children with migraine.⑵ About 1/3 children with migraine often accompanied by nausea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal symptoms except headache.⑶Although children often failed to describe the location, nature and degree of headache, but the duration of the attack is significantly shorter than the adult.⑷Nearly 40% patients got cold before the headache and 1/5 people suffered aura before the attacking of headache.⑸Although about 70% of the children got the disease after they began to go to school,there are still as high as 30% of the children in the preschool period, and even the first onset of childhood onset; ⑹Necessary examination is required to identify other headache disorders 2. Medication or non-drug measures were effective in the treatment of children with migraine and Non- drug treatment played an important role in the younger children.
