Studies in recent years have found that galectin-3 is closely related to myocardial fibrosis, ventricular remodeling and the development of heart failure. Galectin-3 can be used as an important biological markers for diagnosis of heart failure and predict the prognosis of patients with preserved or reduced ejection fraction heart failure.
