Research Progress Of Isolated Noncompaction Of Ventricular Myocardium

Noncompaction of ventricular myocardium( NVM) is a congenital cardiomyopathy characterized by prominent trabeculations and deep intertrabecular recesses on the ventricle wall,resulting from an arrest in the normal embryogenesis.NVM may occur in isolation without other cardiac diseases or may be associated with other congenital cardiac diseases,such as ventricular septal defect,Ebstein ’ s anomaly. It has been extensively studied and reported over the last few years.This review provides an overview of isolated noncompaction of ventricular myocardium with a focus on the etiopathogenisis,pathogenesi,clinical manifestation,diagnosis,differential diagnosis and therapy.
