Part I. Study on Noncompaction of the ventricular myocardium by echocardiographBackground: Noncompaction of the ventricular myocardium(NVM) is a rare congenital heart disease, which was designated by "spongy myocardium" or "persistent embryonic myocardium". Because of the limitation on understanding of NVM, it was rarely reported in China. The criteria for diagnosis is still according to the image from Color Doppler echocardiogram, which may lead to misdiagnosis. Since NVM began to be one of the focus, the case report is accumulated. However, there is little study on the myocardium feature and better diagnosis method. Objective: Based on the information from Color Doppler echocardiogram, we would like to study the left ventricular function of noncompaction of ventricular myocardium (NVM) by using Doppler tissue imaging (DTI), which may provide a new way for diagnosis. Methods: Routine echocardiography and color Doppler were used in finding the NVM patients. The apical four chamber view and apical two chamber view of 9 NVM patients 18 hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and 18 healthy subjects were stored by using QTVI. The left ventricle septum, anterior wall, lateral wall, posterior wall and inferior...
