Objective : to analyze the influential factors of drainage time after surgery of modified radical mastectomy. Methods:Collect the clinical data of patients who achieved modified radical mastectomy in the First Affiliated Hospital, Shihezi University, during May 2014 to February 2016.By collecting patients’ basic information, operation data and postoperative drainage conditions,we acquired relative information of age, height, weight, surgical site, cleaning axillary lymph node devices, diabetes or high blood pressure, lymph node metastasis and so on.Two inclosed drainage tubes were placed parasternum and under the arm separately. At the end of the operation, elastic bandages were used to dress the wound. Observe and record the postoperative drainage volume every day. Clean the wound by the same person every 3 days and observe the wound healing. The extubation indication is that continuous drainage volume ≤20ml/1day for at least two days. When all of the two drainage tube were pulled out, record the total drainage time. Using statistical methods spss20.0 independent samples t-test analysis, and multivariate analysis using stepwise multiple regression analysis to explore the possible influential factors that can prolong the drainage time after Modified radical mastectomy. Results: after excluding cases of drainage tube blockage and drainage tube off 80 cases were analyzed;drainage time of older group is longer than the young group(P <0.05); drainage time of obesity group than the non-obese group(P <0.05); no significant difference(P> 0.05) existed in drainage time between diabetic and non-diabetic group;drainage time of hypertension and non-hypertensive group had no difference(P> 0.05); drainage time of the ultrasonic scalpel group was less than electric knife group(P <0.05);no difference exsited in postoperative drainage time between left breast cancer(P> 0.05) and the right breast; postoperative drainage time of lymph nodes metastasis and without lymph node metastasis had no difference(P> 0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that BMI and lymph node dissection instrument were independent factors influencing postoperative drainage time(P <0.05).Conclusion: 1.ages, BMI and the use of intraoperative ultrasound knives were factors in drainage time of breast cancer patients.2. diabetes, hypertension, surgical site(on the left breast or the right breast), lymph node metastasis of breast cancer had no significant impact on drainage time of the patients with breast cancer modified radical surgery.3. The ultrasonic scalpel axillary lymph node dissection and BMI were independent factor for drainage time.4.We can predicted postoperative drainage situation through the patients’ ages and BMI. By selecting harmonic scalpel we can also reduced drainage time of the patients with breast cancer modified radical surgery.
