Objective:To explore the expression and clinical significance of serum hepatocyte growth factor(HGF) in congenital biliary dilatation preoperatively and postoperatively and to provide a theoretical basis for clinical treatment and prognosis evaluation.Methods:30 cases of congenital biliary dilatation were selected as the experimental group, the serum samples were collected and preserved preoperatively and one day, three days and seven days postoperatively. At the same time, according to the presence of jaundice, these cases was divided into jaundice group and non-jaundice group. In the same period, 30 cases of healthy physical examination were selected as the control group. The serum concentration of HGF was tested with Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay(ELISA),and the data were processed by t-test or One-way analysis of variance. Results:The serum concentration of HGF in preoperative group, 1 d postoperative group and3 d postoperative group were higher than that of the control group and this difference was statistically significant(101.85±46.14 vs 67.57±28.08pg/mL, P<0.05; 186.02±83.37 vs67.57±28.08pg/mL, P<0.05; 119.30±54.83 vs 67.57±28.08pg/mL, P<0.05).The serum concentrations of HGF in 1d postoperative group was significantly higher than that of preoperative group and this difference was statistically significant(186.02 ±83.37 vs101.85 ±46.14; P<0.05).The serum concentrations of HGF in 7 d postoperative groupwas higher than that of the control group, this difference was no statistically significant(72.19±18.53 vs 67.57±28.08pg/mL,P>0.05).The serum concentrations of HGF in Jaundice group was higher than that of non-jaundice group, however, the difference was not statistically significant(126.54±72.76 vs 86.54±38.96pg/mL, P>0.05).Conclusion:It may have a certain clinical value in understanding damage to liver function and may have a certain prospect in the treatment and prognosis of the disease by monitoring preoperative and postoperative serum HGF levels in patients dynamically.
