Objective :The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between the thickness of gallbladder wall and the progress of hepatic fibrosis. Meanwhile, to discuss the relationship between the liver elasticity index, the width of potal vein, biochemical indices and the gallbladder wall thickness and the degree of fibrosis, in order to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods :To retrospectively analyze the 76 patients with diagnosis of the different stages of liver fibrosis from March 2014 to March 2015, who were admitted to our hospital and completed the parallel acoustic radiation force impulse imaging. All the patients had a history of liver disease, typical manifestation and laboratory tests. The patients with a history of gallbladder disease and had undergone cholecystectomy were excluded. The thickness of gallbladder wall, liver elasticity index, width of portal vein, the presence of ascites, serum albumin, serum bilirubin, and prothrombin time were noted. According to Child-Pugh Classification of liver function, the severity of liver fibrosis was divided into three grades. All the statistical calculations were made by using SPSS(Version 19.0).Results:The grade of hepatic fibrosis and gallbladder wall thickness, liver elasticity index, portal width, serum albumin and ascites volume were positively correlated(P <0.05), and there is a statistically significant difference. The gallbladder wall thickness and elasticity index and ascites volume were also positively associated(P <0.05), and negatively correlated with serum albumin(P <0.05), statistical significant difference was reached for these parameters. Conclusion:The combined with thickness of the gallbladder wall, elasticity index, portal width, serum albumin and ascites can assess the progress and severity of fibrosis. And the gallbladder wall thickness is closely related with the elasticity index, portal width, serum albumin and ascites. Gallbladder wall thickness may be used as an independent indicator to estimate the liver fibrosis.
