There is an urgent need to improve the standard of this product.We have finished the following research aspects to solve the existing problems in the current standard. The establishment of TLC identification method to detect skullcap, wormwood and rhubarb. The establishment of an HPLC method for determination of chlorogenic acid in capillary and baicalin in skullcap. The establishment of a method to detect rhaponticin by using TLC, HPLC and LC-MS. The establishment of Gansu Baicalein qualitative identification HPLC method. The establishment of a GC method for the determination of pesticide residues of 666,DDT and PCNB. The establishment of ICP-MS determination method to detect heavy metal elements such as lead, arsenic, mercury, copper and cadmium. The establishment of the fingerprint of HPLC. The establishment of the UPLC identification method for skullcap and rhubarb. We formulate a draft quality standard through the above study.The results showed that: TLC method can be detected in the corresponding component in all of the samples. The contents of chlorogenic acid and baicalin in Sample C were the highest. The content of chlorogenic acid in sample A is minimum, and the content of baicalin in sample B is minimum. Rhaponticin was detected in 9 Samples of a company. Samples were not detected in Gansu baicalein, three types of pesticide residues. And five heavy metals limits are in line with regulations. Fingerprint displayed that the similarity of Sample A is poor, there is a problem. UPLC method for sample test results were detected skullcap.
