OBJECTIVE: To guide the clinical treatment and prevention through studing the incidence and relative influencing factors of the female epileptics with depressive and anxious disorder.METHODS:Accordance with strict inclusion criteria, selected male and female patients with epilepsy(informed consent) from epilepsy specialist out-patient and hospital neurology ward in Tianjin Medical University General Hospital between March 2013 to September 2014. Then perform the following steps,1.We collect The group’s General conditions and clinical data,(1) General conditions involve sex, age, educational level, marital status, with or without children, emploment, salary level, negative life events, family history of psychosis, family history;(2) clinical data involve epilepsy onset age, duration, seizure type, seizure frequency, antiepileptic drugs type and administration, adverse reaction, causative factor, intractable epilepsy, complicating other physical diseases)2.We make the patients completed the Scale score of SDS、SAS、HAMD and HAMA.3. According to gender and evaluation results of patients Packet: female groups:(1) Women with epilepsy only with depression disorder group(2) Women with epilepsy and anxiety disorder only group(3) Women with epilepsy concomitant depression and anxiety disorder group, and is divided into two sub-groups: ① women with epilepsy with depression disorder group(including concomitant anxiety disorders ② women with epilepsy and anxiety disorder group(including concomitant depressive disorder. Male groups:(1 male epilepsy only with depression disorder group(2 Men with epilepsy and anxiety disorder only group(3 male depression and epilepsy concomitant anxiety disorders group, and is divided into two sub-groups: ① male epileptic disorder with depression group(including concomitant anxiety disorders ② male epilepsy and anxiety disorder group(including concomitant depressive disorder.4.To study the incidence of the epileptic female patients with depressive and anxious disorder, With X2 test and logistic regression analysis to analyze its related factors.RESULTS: 1.203 cases of the patients in group, 100 cases was female VS 103 cases was male;In female patients with epilepsy,11 female cases with depression(11%),2. Female cases with anxiety disorder(2%),22 female cases with depressive disorder and anxiety disorder(22%), Female with epilepsy with depressive disorders(including concomitant anxiety disorder, 33 female cases(33%) with depressive disorders included concomitant anxiety disorder; 24 female cases(24%)with anxiety disorder included concomitant depressive disorder;10 male cases with depression(9.8%),male cases without anxiety disorder,13 male cases concomitanted with depressive disorder and anxiety disorder(12.6%),23 male cases(22.3%) with depressive disorder included concomitant anxiety disorder;8 cases with suicidal tendency(24.2%) among 33 female cases with depressive disorders included concomitant anxiety; 23 cases with suicidal tendency(13.0%) among 23 male cases with depressive disorders included concomitant anxiety disorder; The enrolled female cases diagnosed with depression disorder were only two cases previously, the diagnosis rate was about 6.1%.There was no case diagnosed with depression disorder among the enrolled male cases.2.To sum up the Univariate chi-square test results and the multivariate Logistic regression analysis results,we can draw conclusion that the female epileptics with deperesive disorder related with the following factors: marital status(OR=0.403,p<0.05), employment condition(OR=0.120,p<0.05), negative life events(OR=3.115,p<0.05), seizure types(OR=3.269,p<0.05), Intractable epilepsy(OR=3.269,p<0.05); And the female epileptics with anxiety disorder related with the following factors: predisposing factors(OR=4.878,p<0.05).CONCLUSIONS: 1.In this study, the proportion of Female epilepsy patients with depression, anxiety disorder was 35%, depressive and anxious disorder in female patients with epilepsy was common, but it was both underrecognized and undertreated in female patients with epilepsy. So we need to think highly of the depressive and anxious disorder.Diagnosis early, treat early.Decrease the pressure of patients and increase the quality of life.2.The results of Logistic analysis indicated that marital status, employment, negative life events, predisposing factors. 3. Due to the limitations of the study design, the following deficiencies:(1) analysis of women with epilepsy, depression, anxiety disorders while the incidence of, does not have a healthy control group, a case-control study.(2)Because of the time, the number of cases is not large enough to collect, statistical results might have been affected. In the future study and research, we can expand the number of cases, to further clarify the female epilepsy with depression, anxiety disorder related factors.
