Totally 104 stroke patients with dysphagia were divided into intervention group and control group, the control group were given general health education to prevent aspiration, and the intervention group were given health education combined with ISBAR communication mode to prevent aspiration. Comparison of two groups of patients in incidence of aspiration, the mean score of general self-efficacy and the change of nurses’ communication skills. Results: Between the intervention group and the control group, there was no significant difference in gender, age, education level, and concurrent disease(p > 0.05). Comparison of the incidence of aspiration between the intervention group and the control group after the intervention, the score showed significantly difference(p﹤0.01). Comparison of the score of patients’ general self-efficacy, the nurses’ communication skills between the intervention group and the control group, the difference were statistically significance(p﹤0.01).Conclusions: The ISBAR communication mode for the prevention of aspiration among stroke patients with dysphagia which was based on evidence, can significantly improve the nuress’ communication skills, increase the exchange of effective information, and enhance the understanding level of relevant knowledge, finally reduce the incidence of aspiration, and improve the quality of nursing.
