Objective:Explore the relationship between Chronic complications of diabetes and hyperuricemia in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods :Chose 642 cases of type 2 diabetes hospitalized in our hospital duing 2012-2013. They are divided into the high uric acid group which include 140 cases and the others are in the normal uric acid group.Compare the serum uric acid, carotid atherosclerotic plaques,IMT,eye disease, kidney disease, peripheral vascular disease, peripheral neuropathy and so on between the HUA group and the NUA grop, Logistic regression analysis to understand the risk factors of atherosclerosis.Chose 138 cases who often hospitalized from the 642 cases, divide them into the HUA group and the NUA group by the concentration of serum uric acid, record the information of each of its hospitalized.Ccompare the incidence of diabetic vascular disease and other complications between the two group of each year. Results:The happening of carotid atherosclerotic plaques, IMT and other diabetic complications in the high uric acid group is significantly higher than the normal uric acid group(P < 0.05) in the cross-sectional study. The Logistic regression analysis prompt that the carotid plaques were independently associated with hyperuricemia. The happening of carotid atherosclerotic plaques and other diabetic complications are increased with the course of disease increases both of the two groups, but the happening in the high uric acid group is always higher than the normal uric acid group in the longitudinal study. Conclusion:Serum uric acid is an independent risk factor for the atherosclerosis, it have closely relationship with the diabetic complications, we should pay more attention to it, and treat it actively, then we can improve the prognosis.
