Associations Among Left Ventricular Twist、Untwist And Arterial Elasticity And In Patients With Essential Hypertension

Objective To investigate the relationship between left ventricular twist、untwist and arterial elasticity and in patients with essential hypertension.Methods Totally 150 persons were enrolled.They were divided into four groups,EH1 group 、EH2 group、EH3 group and healthy contrast group.All People examined the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, pulse pressure,and measure aortic systolic diameter, diastolic diameter, aortic stiffness index and aortic distensibility by ultrasoundgraphy, and calculate left ventricular basal peak rotation(PBR), apical peak rotation(PAR), the left ventricular peak twist(Ptw)、Untw-R by speckle tracking imaging(STI).Results The concentrations of aortic stiffness index, pulse pressure, LV peak twist in EH group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.01), while AS,AD,Untw-R in EH groups were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).According to the analysis showed by Pearson correlation, aortic stiffness index showed significantly positive correlation with apical peak rotation(PAR)or LV peak twist(Ptw) and showed significantly negative correlation with Untw-R.AD showed significantly negative correlation with PAR or Ptw and showed significantly positive correlation with Untw-R.Conclusion Significant association was noted between LV twist、untwist and aortic elasticity and in Patients with essential hypertension.
