Hypertension(HP) is the most common chronic disease global human, it was based on the characteristics of arterial blood pressure rising as the progressive cardiovascular disease of a kind of damage, cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, kidney disease is the most important risk factors, which cause the main complications of myocardial infarction, stroke, cardiac insufficiency, and the incidence of chronic kidney disease, the morbidity and mortality in patients with all in the forefront of various kinds of chronic diseases. As people material life level unceasing enhancement, hypertension has become the focus of the world’s public health problem. Our country has stepped into aging society, rapid population aging makes the rising incidence of high blood pressure, a serious threat to the old people’s health and life safety.Stroke is a group of diseases that cause brain damage. It is because the blood vessels of the brain burst suddenly or blood circulation disorders caused by vascular obstruction, including ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic Cerebral apoplexy.Stroke is the second death worldwide and the main cause of adult disability at present, it is a major disease threatening people’s health in our country, it has high incidence and high morbidity and high mortality, bring heavy burden to society and family. The most common form of stroke risk factors is high blood pressure. At home and abroad in recent years, many studies suggest, pressing of arteries and veins obvious correlation with the incidence of cerebral apoplexy, therefore, different pulse pressure on elderly patients with high blood pressure level and the relationship between cerebral apoplexy is worth our further research. Objective: To investigate relationship between the different pulse pressure in elderly hypertensive patients and stroke. Methods:A total of 875 elderly hypertensive patients in our hospital from March,2014 to August,2015 were selected.According to pulse pressure, they are divided into group PP1(PP<40mm Hg),group PP2(PP 41-60 mm Hg),group PP3(PP 61-80 mm Hg) and group PP4(PP>80mm Hg).And PP1 group a total of 150 cases, 75 cases of male, female 75 cases;PP2 group a total of 418 cases, 247 cases of male, female 171 cases;PP3 group a total of 240 cases, 125 cases of male, female 115 cases;PP4 group a total of 67 cases, male 36, female 31 cases. The PP>60mm Hg for group A, A total of 307 cases, 161 cases of male, female 146 cases, PP 60 mm Hg or less for group B, A total of 568 cases, 322 cases of male, female 246 cases.According to whether combined stroke, they are divided into two groups: the group with stroke and group without stroke. And the stroke group is divided into group cerebral infarction, group cerebral hemorrhage, and group lacunar cerebral infarction. We analyze the relationship between different pulse pressure level and different stroke events. Results: 1 The stroke group accounts for 30.67%,35.41%,40.00%,43.28%,and the cerebral infarction group accounts for 26.27%,28.23%,28.75%,26.87%,and the cerebral hemorrhage group accounts for 1.33%,3.11%,3.33%,8.96%,and the lacunar cerebral infarction group accounts for 2.67%,4.07%,7.92%,7.45%,and the group without stroke accounts for 69.33%,64.59%,60.00%,56.72% in the four level of pulse pressure groups. 2 Compared with group PP1≤40mm Hg, cerebral hemorrhage patients in group PP4 > 80 MMHG OR a value of 8.211(95%C.I.1.588 ~ 42.448,p<0.05), the difference is statistically significant. And Lacunar cerebral infarction patients in the PP3 group 61-80 MMHG OR a value of 3.431(95%C.I.1.134~10.382,p<0.05), the difference is statistically significant. 3 The group with stroke is 34.15% in PP≤60mm Hg group, and the proportion of PP>60mm Hg is 40.72%.Two groups of comparison,OR a value of 1.324(95%C.I.0.995~1.763,p<0.05), the difference is statistically significant. The group lacunar cerebral infarction is 3.69% in PP≤60mm Hg group, and the proportion of PP>60mm Hg is 7.82%.Two groups of comparison,OR a value of 2.349(95%C.I.1.274~4.330,p<0.05), the difference is statistically significant. Conclusions: 1 With the increase of pulse pressure level, the proportion of stroke increased gradually. 2 The proportion of cerebral hemorrhage is increased significantly in PP>80mm Hg group, the difference is statistically significant. 3 The proportion of lacunar cerebral infarction is increased significantly in PP>60mm Hg,It is the highest proportion in the group PP3(PP 61-80 mm Hg),the difference is statistically significant. 4 The difference of cerebral infarction group in the level of pulse pressure is not obvious.
