| Objective: To abserve the effect of Bufeiyishou mixture on lung function of lung and kidney Yin deficiency type in the remission stage of bronchial asthma, to highlight the advantages of TCM treating bronchial asthma. It would be beneficial for patients.Methods: Selected 40 cases in accord with experimental standard, and tested FEV1/FVC,FEV1 and PEF% values before and after the treatment. We had given the patients Bufeiyishou Mixture 10 bottles for a course. And there were three stages for having the mixture, the first was having Bufeiyishou mixture(3 bottles) for seven and a half days from the Winter Solstice, the second was having Bufeiyishou mixture(4 bottles) for ten days from the third nine-day period, the last was having Bufeiyishou mixture(3 bottles) for seven and a half days from the fifth nine-day period. A bottle was 250 milliliters, and taken 50 milliliters each time,twice a day. Every one year is a course of treatment. The observation period is 3 years. We tested FEV1/FVC, FEV1 and PEF% value each year. Statistical software spss20.0 was used for processing the data.Results: Fristly, TCM symptom score comparison: Bufeiyishou mixture can relieve bronchial asthma, lung and kidney patients in remission of wheezing, cough, sputum, shortness of breath usually short interest, mediastinoscopy full nausea, dry mouth Fanre, dysphoria hot,sweating, weak waist symptoms(P<0.05). Secondly, FEV1/FVC, FEV1, PEF% change in the value comparison before and after treatment: From the P-P plot of FEV1/FVC, FEV1 and PEF% before and after treatment, it suggested that the two groups of data met the normal distribution, and the statistics from the paired sample correlation coefficient met the paired samples T test. And the difference between the paired sample statistics of each group to compare samples before and after the treatment were negative. Accordingly it was deduced that the treatment raised the FEV1/FVC, FEV1 and PEF% value for patients with bronchial asthma. Namely, after the treatment, the FEV1/FVC, FEV1, PEF% values showed an upward trend(P<0.05). The end, before and after treatment in enrolled patients there’s no obvious side effects and adverse reactions.Conclusion: Bufeiyishou mixture can obviously improved and kidney treatment of bronchial asthma in remission have better clinical efficacy, and can significantly improve lung function in patients and no obvious adverse reactions were found during the treatment course.This mixture was used to study the long-term safety and efficacy and can be popularized in clinical application. |
