Objective:To investigate the clinical application of endoscopic anterior lacrimal recess approach in the treatment of maxillary sinus diseases. Methods:Retrospective analysis of 36 cases of maxillary sinus disease from March 2013 to March 2016 were performed by endoscopic anterior lacrimal recess approach. Among them there were 22 cases with inverted papilloma, 2 cases of fungal maxillary sinusitis, 1case of maxillary sinus osteoma, 3 cases with maxillary sinus cyst(including dentigerous cyst in 2 cases), 7 cases with maxillary sinus antrochoanal polyp(including recurrent choanal polyp in 5 cases), 1 case with maxillary sinus foreign body. The operation was performed under general anesthesia with controlled hypotension, and the lateral wall of the nasal cavity was cut into the maxillary sinus by endoscopic anterior lacrimal recess, and the lesions in the maxillary sinus were removed.Results:36 cases were unilateral, tumors or polyps were originated from the maxillary sinus, the wall of the maxillary sinus was involved, involving the anterior and medial wall. The operation went smoothly, after 3 ~ 5D cured. Patients were followed up for 3~ 36 months, all the epithelial luminal epithelium, inferior turbinate in good shape, no complications. Conclusion:Endoscopic anterior lacrimal recess into road of maxillary sinus surgery under photopic vision clear maxillary sinus wall and crypt lesions, anatomy and retain the nasolacrimal duct and inferior turbinate complete, have better removal of lesion, reduce the recurrence rate.
