Objective:The objective of this project is to study imaging features and classification of intracranial tuberculosis using 3.0T MRI.Method: Collected 197 patients of intracranial tuberculosis who underwent MRI examination of head using SIEMENS Skyra 3.0T MRI and 20 channel dedicated coil which combined head and neck.Scan sequence includes routine plain scan,DWI,3D-TOF MRA and enhanced scan. The data of this project is counted data, statistical description using relative number. Results:In 197 cases of intracranial tuberculosis, tuberculous meningitis 51 cases, accounted for 25.9%, involving suprasellar cistern and lateral fissure cistern 34 cases(66.7%),ambient cistern 29 cases(56.9%),prepontine cistern 20 cases(39.2%) and quadrigeminal cistern 12 cases(23.5%),divided into four type:simple meningeal thickening 13 cases, accounted for 25.5%,meningeal thickening with tuberculous nodules 20 cases, accounted for 39.2%,meningeal thickening with tuberculoma 5 cases, accounted for 9.8%,meningeal thickening with tuberculous nodules and tuberculoma 13 cases, accounted for 25.5%;Parenchymal tuberculosis 37 cases, accounted for 18.8%,involving cerebral hemisphere 34 cases(91.9%),cerebellar hemisphere 27 cases(73.0%),brainstem 11 cases(29.7%),divided into three type: tuberculous nodule 19 cases, accounted for 51.4%,tuberculoma 5 cases, accounted for 13.5%,tuberculous nodules with tuberculoma 13 cases, accounted for 35.1%,Among them tuberculous brain abscess 3 cases(8.1%);Hybrid intracranial tuberculosis 109 cases, accounted for 55.3%,intracranial tuberculosis complications include:hydrocephalus 67 cases(34.0%),tuberculous vasculitis 65 cases(33.0%),cerebral infarction 38 cases(19.3%).Conclusion:The imaging features of intracranial tuberculosis are complex and various, and MRI features of intracranial tuberculosis in different stages, different parts and different pathological changes have their characteristics.MRI is preferred examination method of intracranial tuberculosis.According to the diseased region, pathological changes and MRI features, intracranial tuberculosis can be typed, this classification can completely describe the MRI features of intracranial tuberculosis.
