Objectives:To investigate the endoscopic papillary balloon dilation in patients with pancreatitis if there is a direct relationship. Methods:We searched MEDLINE and PUBMED database of all relevant documents, retrieval time for the January 1995-December 2015, by the two reviewers with reference to Newcastle-Ottawa NOS cases in accordance with the quality assessment criteria of the included studies were independently screened extract data quality assessment using RevMan5.0.23 analysis Meta-analysis software.Rcsults:retrieved a total of 168 relevant documents, the final document included a total of 16 patients with a total of 2130 people, where endoscopic papillary balloon dilation patients with 1061 cases; endoscopic sphincterotomy patients undergoing 1069 cases, implementation of endoscopic balloon dilation lithotripsy and endoscopic sphincterotomy pancreatitis incidence of postoperative patients with combined odds ratio 1.88 [95%confidence interval (1.30-2.71)], P= 0.0007, The difference was statistically significant. Conclusions:The Meta analysis showed that pre-selection of patients, balloon oppression, repeated cannulation, many developing pancreatic duct and operator inexperience is a major risk factor for endoscopic balloon dilation of post-ERCP pancreatitis. By selecting appropriate patients, optimization program in the preoperative or postoperative administration of drugs or prophylactic pancreatic stent placement or nasobiliary, can effectively prevent endoscopic balloon dilation of post-ERCP pancreatitis.
