Objective:The study was to explore the phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation prior to implantation IOL incision artificially expanded or not, whether there are differences Surgically-induced Astigmatism last generated; whether the differences were statistically significance; witch the factors contributing to the variance. Methods:Collected in September 2015 to December period in our department take phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation in patients with age-related cataracts, a total of 39 cases (67),20 females (32),19 males (35), above the corneoscleral limbus 11:00-12:00、3.0mm incision, implantation of intraocular lens before slightly enlarged incision group (A) 18 (33), above the corneoscleral limbus 11: 00-12:00、3.0 mm incision, implanted directly into the IOL group (group B) 21 patients (34). Had the same surgery done by an experienced physician. Surgery after 1 week,2 weeks back to hospital accept Oct measure corneal incision.Next month routine re-testing, after three months, patient back for lOL-Master corneal curvature measurement, recording data, using Doctor-hill.com Surgically Induced Astigmatism Calculators calculated for each eye surgery induced astigmatism, statistical data. Applying SPSS software made a statistical analysis, surgery induced astigmatism of A%B groups comparison using independent sample t test, P value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significance. The relationship between K value of preoperative、anterior chamber depth of preoperative、axial lengths、white to white of preoperative、intraocular pressure of preoperative、surgical incision width, age, gender with Surgically-induced Astigmatism using multivariate correlation and regression analysis, with P value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significance. Results:After three months of the phacoemulsification, the Surgically-induced Astigmatism of the group of appropriate enlarge incision is smaller than the non-expansion.The difference was statistically significant (0.723±0.363 VS 0.951 ±0.410, t=2.316,=0.024) The relationship between anterior chamber depth of preoperative、white to white of preoperative、K1 value of preoperative、K2 value of preoperative、the average K value of preoperative、surgical incision width、age、 intraocular pressure of preoperative、axial lengths、gender with Surgically-induced Astigmatism using multivariate correlation and regression analysis, adjusted R-squared:0.226, Anovab F:3.138, p:0.004a,the surgical incision width、age with the Surgically-induced Astigmatism is linear correlation, (t=2.447, t=2.019, P <0.05),the larger the notch width (3.5mm or less), the smaller Surgically-induced Astigmatism, the older, the larger Surgically-induced AstigmatismConclusion:The phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation, slightly enlarged incision before the intraocular lens implantation can reduced Surgically-induced Astigmatism to some extent.
