Objectives:To investigate the efficacy of rTMS in patients with aphasia after stroke and to compare the therapeutic effect of different types of rTMS stimulation.Method:30 cases of post-stroke non-fluent aphasia were randomly divided into four groups:group A, group B, group C and group D.Four groups all received conventional speech therapy,40 minutes a day, five days a week. On the basis of the conventional speech therapy, group A received rTMS daily with 10 minutes lHz at the right hemisphere and 10 minutes 5Hz at the left hemisphere,5 days per week for 2 weeks. Group B received 1Hz rTMS at the right hemisphere for 20 minutes a day. Group C received 5Hz rTMS at the left hemisphere for 20 minutes a day. Group D received no rTMS treatment. Before and after 2 weeks of treatment,PACA was used to assess the language functions of patients in four groups.Results:1.There was significant difference for rTMS treatment groups and control group after treatment compared with before (P< 0.05). But there was no significant difference in naning reaction time in unilateral stimulation group (P> 0.05)2. There was significant difference between rTMS treatment group and control group(P< 0.05).3. There was no significant difference of PACA scores in unilateral stimulation group compared with bilateral stimulation group (P> 0.05).Conclusions:1.rTMS stimulation and traditional speech training could improve the language functions of patient with post-stroke aphasia. And combined with each other would be better.2. Both bilateral and unilateral rTMS stimulations could improve the language function of patients with post-stroke aphasia, and there was no significant difference between two stimulated methods.3.There was no obvious discomfort during treatment, so this technology is not only effective but also safe.
