Objective:By observing the effects of invert sugar electrolyte injection(IS),Lactated Ringer’s Solution(LR)and 5% glucose injection (G1) on intraoperative blood sugar for pediatrics to discuss the advantage of IS in fluid therapy of blood sugar control for pediatrics intraoperatively.Method:60 children(ASA Ⅰ~Ⅱ, aging 1~7 years old, weight 10~30 kg),undergoing ENT surgery were involved, who were randomly divided into 3 groups(n= 20) according to different solution:Group IS(Group I).Group LR(Group R).Group G1(Group G).HR (heart rate),MAP(mean arterial blood pressure)and glucose(Glu) was recorded at following 3 time points:before infused (T1), 10min after infused (T1),30min after infused (T2) and 60min after infused (T3).receptively.then calculate the difference value between each time point. Results:Comparison among groups:there was no significant statistical difference in children’s weight, age, procedure duration and infusion volume(P>0.05).There was no significant statistical difference in HR and MAP in all groups at all time points(P> 0.05).The blood sugar in Group R was lower than it in Group 1 at T1、T2、T3,P=0.004、 P=0.001 、P=0.004,and there was a significant difference in the difference value of T1-T0 and T2-T1,P=0.009、 P=0.46.The blood sugar in Group G was higher than it in Group R at T1、T2、T3,P<0.001,and there was a significant difference in the difference value of T1-T0 and T3-T2,P<0.01.The blood sugar in Group I was lower than it in Group G at T1、T2、T3.P=0.034, P<0.01, P<0.01.and there was no significant difference in the difference value at all time points2.P>0.05. Intra-group comparison:The blood sugar in Group I at T1 and T2 was higher compare with it at To,P=0.001, P=0.008; but was decreased at T3,P>0.05; there was a significant difference on blood sugar between T1 and T3 and between T2 and T3,P=0.001,P=0.021.There was no significant difference in the different values of blood sugar at all time points. The blood sugar in Group R at T2 and T3 was lower compare with it at To,P=0.02, P=0.008 and there was no significant difference on blood sugar at other time points. There was a significant difference on the different values of blood sugar between T2-T1 and T3-T2.P=0.022.The blood sugar in Group G at T2 and T3 was higher compare with it at To,P<0.01 and there was a significant decreasing on blood sugar at T3.compare with it at T2,P=0.029.There was a significant difference on the different values of blood sugar between T1-T0 and T3-T2,P=0.033.Conclusion:Although there is a slight increase of blood sugar using IS,it’s more stable and safe than glucose injection, which confirms that IS is an ideal choice in intraoperative fluid therapy of blood sugar for pediatrics. It is suggested that it should be infused with appropriate volume and speed so that the disturbance of electrolyte and acid base is avoided.
