| Objective:Observe the quality of life in patients with advanced esophageal carcinoma,physical condition,symptoms and signs,tumor markers,and control of the side effects under the method of Yi Qi Tiao Zhong (Strengthening Qi and Recuperating Middle Jiao) combined with chemotherapy,to contrasting the related indicators including blood system and function of liver and kidney throughout the treatment,and to evaluate the clinical efficacy and define the safety systematically.Methods:40 cases diagnosed with advanced esophageal carcinoma are divided into two groups,one of them are set in the treatment group, the other in the control group.Control group are treated with the scheme of PS(paclitaxel and TS-1),The chemotherapy has carried out for 2 cycles,The treatment group are treated with the decoction of Yi Qi Tiao Zhong(Strength Qi and Recuperate Middle Jiao)in combination with chemotherapy synchronously,The Prescription of TCM is made one potion per day with the capacity of 300ml for taking daily.Results:There exists no obvious advantage between the two groups above the objective response rate and declining the CEA and CA199 values,while the symptoms including fatigue,anorexia, nausea and vomit caused by chemotherapy adverse reaction are alleviated,quality of life is improved. There exists an significant advantage between the two groups above chemotherapy side effects statistically.Conclusions:The decoction of Yi Qi Tiao Zhong(Strengthening Qi and Recuperating Middle Jiao) in combination with the scheme of PS chemotherapy for advanced esophageal carcinoma could relax parts of the clinical symptoms effectively,improving the general status, promoting the quality of life and reducing the adverse reaction of the scheme of PS chemotherapy,the tolerance and the safety matches well,patients with advanced esophageal cancer could benefit from the decoction of Yi Qi Tiao Zhong(Strengthening Qi and Recuperating Middle Jiao). |
