Objective Through observing the differences of improvements in depressed patients with somatic symptoms between acupuncture plus drug group and simple drug group after the initial needling the trigger points in Du meridian, to judge whether the acupuncture method has the improvement effects on the somatic symptoms after the first acupuncture and find which somatic symptoms or symptoms improved.Methods Included 61 cases of patients with depression according to the mental disorders of Chinese classification and diagnostic criteria of the 3rd Edition (CCMD-3) from November 2014 to August 2015, these patients from Nanjing brain hospital 203 ward and outpatient department of Nanjing University of traditional Chinese medicine Guo Yi Tang. The patients signed informed consent and filled in the somatic symptoms scale after inclusion.Acupuncturist needle the tenderness points with lifting and thrusting to produce soft、comfortable and durable sensation of needling, rotating the needles every 10 minutes last 30 to 40 minutes every treatment. Acupuncturist needle the points with flexible needling angle and depth according to the shape of tenderness points. patients were observed for the first time and before the second treatment, including immediate effects and the effects before the second treatment. Collecting data and understanding the improvements of somatization symptoms.Results 1. Acupuncture plus drug group compared with the simple drug group, in the "head and neck, chest, back, gastrointestinal and waist" symptoms improved statistical differences.2. Acupuncture plus drug group and simple drug group, in terms of neck pain symptoms exist significant difference; there is a statistically significant difference in back pain symptoms; in lumbago symptom improvement:there was a significant difference.3. After the initial treatment, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group.4. Before and after the first treatment, there were significant differences in the scores of the experimental group before and after Hamilton’s anxiety and depression scale(HAMD-17) scores; the Depression and Somatic Symptoms Scale(DSSS-22) scores were statistically significant; the Physical Health Questionnaire (PHQ-15) scores were statistically significant.5. In the control group after the first administration, the Hamilton scale scores were statistically significant; there was no statistical difference between the depression scale and physical health questionnaire.6. After the first treatment, there was statistical difference between the 2 groups after the first treatment, and other factors had no statistical difference between the groups.7. The PHQ-15 scores between two groups had no statistical difference after the first intervention. There were statistical differences between the experimental group and the 5 and 1 scores before and after treatment. There were no statistical differences between the control group and the factor after the drug administration. Conclusions 1. It was safe and effective to treat the somatic symptoms of depressed patients by needling the tenderness points in DU meridian2 It was effective to relieve pain and gastrointestinal symptoms of depressed patients by needling the tenderness points in DU meridian...
