Objective:To analyze the etiology, clinical features, laboratory examination, and treatment of deep infection after artificial joint replacement, and to provide reference for clinical application.Methods:Between June 2008 and December2015 the replacement of the infected arthroplasty was performed in 47 patients with the mean follow-up time after revision of 25 months.Results:Four of 47 patients had a recurrence of the infection.The revision increased the Harris Hip Score from 42.3 points preoperative to 83.5points postoperative, and the postoperative AKS averaged 85.6points and increased about 41.9 points more than preoperative.Conclusions:1. Infection diagnosis depends on a variety of examination methods and the physician’s comprehensive judgment, pathogenic bacteria culture is the gold standard for the diagnosis of infection, ESR、CRP combined with other examination methods can improve the accuracy of diagnosis.2. Treatment decision in time of onset, the patient and bacterial virulence. In early, acute infection can be used to retain the revision of the prosthesis means. For the general case is good, no sinus and deep extensive abscesses, skin and soft tissue in good condition, pathogenic bacteria culture positive, and support the sensitive antibiotics, can choose one stage revision. Two stage revision is treatment of gold standard for all infected patients, revision of local soft tissue inflammation subsided, CRP and ESR down to normal range.
