ObjectivesA retrospective research was carried on the hospitalized patients in the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM between 20 11.1.1.to.2016.1.1. By observing the clinical characteristic of Acute Li-ver Failure (ALF), as well as its’diagonosis and treatment, the reporter hope to advance the understanding and treatment of this disease.MethodsSuch informations concluding gender, age, medical history, pathogenesis, menisfections, laboratory results, diagonosis, treatment and prognosis were collected, which then recorded and analysised via SPSS20.0. Chi Square te-stand Rank Sum test. When P<0.05, we accept that the differences has stat istical siginificance.Results50 patients’ medical records were studied in this research, who’s age were between 22 years ’old to 89 years’ old, and 74% of them were male. Sea sonal variation was not founded on the incidence of ALF. Jaundice was the most common main complaint of this patients, but they always didn’t go to the hospital until other acompanied malaise come out.34% of this patien-ts were HBV carriers, at the same time, virus effect induce to 32% of sub-jects’ ALF. Grouped them to the better outcome group and the bad outcome group, there is no statistical difference on medical history and pathogen-nesis(P>0,05), as well as on such of laboratory results (P>0,05), but on the CTP group and on the use of artificial liver support system, the dif-fercence has statistical significance.Conclutions1.Those young HBV carriers and older patients with deseases of heart failure or kidney failure, as well as patients with liver damage drugs s-hould go to hosipial when they present sympoms such as jaundice, vomit, anorexia and malaise.2. Comprehensive evaluation(concluding CTP) should be taken to the p-atients with ALF because of it’s better ability of prediction on progno-sis. But in this research there was no statistical difference be found be tween different outcome groups.3. The artificial liver support system, not like the artificial kidney system, can’t get ideal outcomes nowadays. Liver transplant surgey is the only way which be proved can lower the motality of ALF, but many of pati-ents dead before the surgery.
