Background:Coronary heart disease(CHD) seriously endangers human health and brings great burden to individuals and society. With the rapid development of modern medicine, incidence and death rates of CHD are still high which can be treated with drug therapy, interventional therapy and coronary artery bypass grafting. There are limitations in the treatment of CHD by using Western medicine, such as microvascular angina, aspirin resistance, no reflow. Chinese medicine has a unique advantage in the prevention and treatment of CHD. How to explore the prescription medication rule, to inherit traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment experience has the extremely vital significance. Recognition of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) of CHD can be traced back to the Huangdi Neijing. After thousands of years of unremitting exploration, Chinese medicine scholars seek common ground while reserving differences and create a hundred schools of thought contend. Many traditional Chinese medicines make deepth research on CHD when they inherit traditional chinese medicine culture. Professor Xu-Hao has a certain representation among them.The purpose of this study is to explore the origin of Xu-Hao’s Thought on treatment of CHD by means of vertical and horizontal combing. To analyze professor Xu-Hao’s prescription regularity on treatment of Chest Stuffiness and Pains by using a variety of data mining methods such as drug frequency of usage statistics, analysis based on association rules, improved mutual information method, complex system entropy clustering and unsupervised hierarchical clustering entropy. Analysis the characteristics of the treatment of CHD by using effective medical record.This paper includes three parts:literature research, clinical research and clinical experience cases.Literature researchAn overview which is traditional Chinese medicine understanding of CHD does a longitudinal research on etiology and pathogenesis and dialectical treatment of CHD. Diagnosis and treatment experience of 13 prestigious Chinese medicine physicians for coronary heart disease does horizontal comparison of the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment of close modern veteran TCM physicians. Characteristics of CHD diagnosis and treatment of 13 prestigious Chinese medicine physicians were summarized in transverse comparison, that are eliminating stagnation to activate yang, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, principle of yin and yang, theory of phlegm-dampness, balance method, treating the stomach and spleen, reinforcing and strengthening the kidney, congenital latent cold, prevention more important than treatment, treatment according to depression, qi-deficiency and blood-stasis, theory of heat and toxin, ascending qi and removing blood stasis. Ultimately, we expect to provide guides for clinical CHD treatments from different angles as etiologies, pathogenesis and prescriptions.Clinical researchObjectiverTo analyze professor Xu-Hao’s prescription regularity and to explore the characteristics of the experience on treatment of Chest Stuffiness and Pains by using traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) inheritance auxiliary system (V2.5).Methods:One hundred and twenty-nine prescriptions of professor Xu-Hao for treating Chest Stuffiness and Pains were selected and analyzed by using a variety of data mining methods such as drug frequency of usage statistics, analysis based on association rules, improved mutual information method, complex system entropy clustering and unsupervised hierarchical clustering entropy.Results:Drug frequency of usage and association rules of professor Xu-Hao’s prescriptions for treating Chest Stuffiness and Pains were cleared. Twenty four core combinations and sixteen new prescriptions were mined out. Based on prescription drugs frequency statistics in the top eight respectively:angelica sinensis, ligusticum wallichii, radix astragali, radix bupleuri, fushen, polygala root, radix clycyrrhizae, codonopsis pilosula. Based on prescription drug compatibility relations, prioritize, combination frequency of medicine on the top three were "angelica sinensis, ligusticum wallichii","angelica sinensis, radix astragali","angelica sinensis,fushen"; Relationship of drugs were calculated based on prescription drugs, the association rules between the results found that the correlation coefficient of the highest drug of which is "0.981132" angelica sinensis, safflowerâ†' ligusticum wallichii. It shows that when the compatibility of prescription of angelica sinensis and safflower, ligusticum wallichii occurrence probability is 98.1132%. Based on correlation coefficient, the top five groups except it from high to low arethe " semen persicae â†'radix angelicae sinensis0.98039","rhizoma chuanxiong, semen persicae â†'radix angelicae sinensis 0.97959", " flos carthami, semen persicaeâ†'radix angelicae sinensis 0.97872", "flos carthami, semen persicaeâ†'rhizoma chuanxiong 0.97872", " radix angelicae sinensis, semen persicae, flos carthamiâ†'rhizoma chuanxiong 0.97826". And also reveals aseries of representative core combinations of herbs, which justified as follow. Combination2 contains radix bupleuri, radix platycodonis, fructus aurantii and rhizoma corydalis. While combination24 contains rhizoma chuanxiong, radix paeoniae rubra, semen persicae, radix platycodonis and fried rhizoma atractylodis macrocephalae. They effect qi promoting, activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis. Combination 6 contains poria with hostwood, Seman Platycladi, semen ziziphi spinosae, and silktree albizia bark, that characterized by the effect of hyperactivity nourishing heart to calm mind. Combination 17 which contains fructus forsythiae, powder of panax notoginseng, radix bupleuri and radix curcumae has the function of activating blood circulation and removing toxics. Combination8 contains bulbus allii macrostemonis, pericarpium trichosanthis and rhizoma pinelliae, whose main function is eliminating stagnation to activate yang. Combination 13 contains fructus schisandrae chinensis, cortex moutan, and radix rehmanniae preparata. Moreover, combination 14 contains rhizoma dioscoreae, cortex moutan and radix rehmanniae preparata. As we know, they are effective in tonifying the kidney and strengthening the origin. Reserch on new prescription displays that the most distinctive prescription is prescription16, which contains rhizoma chuanxiong, radix paeoniae rubra, semen persicae, radix platycodonis, fructus aurantii and fried rhizoma atractylodis macrocephalae, reflects the treatment of chest stuffiness and pains of professor Xu-Hao, which attaches great importance to the method of promoting qi and activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis. The other one is the prescriptions which contains poria with hostwood, Seman Platycladi, semen ziziphi spinosae, silktree albizia bark, and calcined magnetitum. It reflects that professor XuHao’s characteristic treatment of chest stuffiness and pains, which attaches great importance to heart nourishing and mind calming. Last but not the least, prescription 13 contains fructus forsythia, ramulus cinnamomi, powder of panax notoginseng, radix bupleuri and radix curcumae. It practically indicates that professor XuHao’s characteristic treatment of chest stuffiness and pains, is attributed as cold-heat compatibility and removing toxicity and dissipating binds.Conclusion:The characteristics of professor Xu-Hao on treatment of Chest Stuffiness and Pains mainly are Treatment based on Qi and blood, Heart Nourishing and Mind Calming, Using cold and heat simultaneously, Xuan Bi Tong Yang, reinforcing and strengthening the kidney. Professor Xu-Hao prefers to use ligusticum chuanxiong hort and radix angeiicae sinensis when using Promoting Qi Activating and Nourishing Blood method; to use fushen and polygala tenuifolia willd when using Heart Nourishing and Mind Calming mehod; to combine warm drugs such as cassia twig and allium macrostemon with cold-cool drugs such as honeysuckle, fructus forsythiae, prunella vulgaris, cortex moutan; to use fructus trichosanth, allium macrostemon and pinellia ternata when using Xuan Bi Tong Yang method; to use radix rehmanniae praeparata, rhizoma dioscoreae, parasitic loranthus when reinforcing and strengthening the kidney.Clinical experience cases.To systematically analyze the characteristics of Professor Xu-Hao’s treatment of chest stuffiness and pains by selecting three cases of clinical efficacy.
