Effect Of Meridian Scraping Therapy On Alzheimer’s Disease

Objective:Through obseving the clinical efficacy on the patients with Alzheimer’s d i sease treated with Meridian Scraping Therapy, we try to search a safe,quick and convenient treating mothod.Method:In December,2014 to December,2015 period, Subjects were Alzheimer’s disease patients collected from Fujian provincial hospital.60 patients were randomly divided into two groups,treatment group and control group.There were 30 patients in each group.The Patients in the treatment group were treated by Meridian Scraping Therapy method that using a thick Scrapping-plate,scraping pretragal top-down. scraping skill must be soft,shortcut,fluency.By color invariant,having a fever and a painless feeling for degrees. Therapy two or three times a second and shave thirty times on each side.Then Therapy the whole head taking Baihui point as the center by radiation like. And the patients in the control group were treated by taking drug of donepezil hydrochloride. Therapy once a day, five times a week,two weeks as one course of treatment,two consecutive months. All patients must be evaluated respectively with MMSE scores and ADL scores before and after treatment period. The data collected were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 statistical software packet. The overall clinical efficacy were compared by rank sum test.Result:1. General Information:There is no significant difference of the age,sex,order of severity and other clinical data in treatment group and control group(P>0.05).2. There is no significant differnence of MMSE score and ADL score in treatment group and control group before treatment(P>0.05).3. There is significant difference of MMSE、ADL scores within their own group before and after treatment(P<0.05) indicates that the two methods both can improve symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.4.There is no difference in MMSE、ADL scores between the treatment group and the contuol group(P>0.05) after treatment, indicates that the Meridian Scraping Therapy is no difference than taking drug.5.Overall curative effects:after two months of treatment,the total effective rate is 66.67% in the treatment group,and 73.33% in the control group,the significant efficiency is 26.67% in the treatment group,and is 30% in the control group,Comparison of the two groups curative effect has no difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Both Meridian Scraping Therapy and taking drug of donepezil hydrochloride can improve curative effect in Alzheimer’s disease.2. Meridian Scraping Therapy is no effective than taking drug,but Meridian Scraping Therapy can be safe,quick and convenient treating method.
