The Clinical Observation Of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction Combined With Donepezil Hydrochloride Tablets For Treatment Of Alzheimer's Disease

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction with donepezil hydrochloride tablets for treatment of the Alzheimer's disease,To understand whether the effect of traditional Chinese and western medicine on Alzheimer's disease is better than that of traditional Chinese medicine or western medicine,to explore the treatment scheme of traditional Chinese and western medicine for AD,and to provide new ideas and clinical evidence for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of AD.Methods In this study,a total of 48 patients with AD were enrolled,and the patients were grouped according to a random number table.There were divided into three groups,namely the traditional Chinese medicine treatment group(TCM group),the combined Chinese and western medicine treatment group(TCM and western group),and the western medicine treatment group.There were 16 patients in each group.In terms of treatment,the Chinese medicine treatment group was treated with Huanglian Jiedu Decoction.The combined Chinese and Western medicine treatment group was treated with Huanglian-Jiedu Decoction and donepezil hydrochloride tablets.In terms of treatment indicators,cognitive function(MMSE scale,Mo CA scale),daily living ability(ADL,Barthel index scale),and TCM syndrome scores(including cognitive decline,iritability,dizziness,headache,blushing,dry throat,constipation,urgency).Before treatment,gender,age,course of disease,education level,and emotional depression(HAMD scale)were evaluated.Results(1)Before treatment,There was no significant difference in data between the groups of the patients' gender?age? course of disease?education level?MMSE?Mo CA?ADL?HAMD?TCM syndromes and other scores were compared between the three groups(P>0.05);(2)After 12 weeks of treatment,the MMSE scores of the three groups were significantly higher than before treatment(P<0.05);the difference between the MMSE scores of the combined TCM and Western treatment group and the TCM group and the Western medicine treatment group was statistically significant(P<0.05)The difference between the MMSE score of the Western medicine treatment group and the TCM group was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)After 12 weeks of treatment,the Mo CA score of each group was significantly improved compared with before treatment(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference between the Mo CA score of the combined TCM and Western treatment group and the TCM treatment group and the Western medicine treatment group(P<0.05).The difference between the Mo CA score of the Western medicine treatment group and the TCM treatment group was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)After 12 weeks of treatment,the ADL score of each group was significantly improved compared with before treatment(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference between the ADL scores of the combined TCM group and the TCM treatment group and the Western medicine treatment group(P <0.05),and the ADL scores of the Western medicine treatment group and the TCM group were statistically significant(P <0.05).(5)After 12 weeks of treatment,in addition to the "dry stool" symptoms,the other symptoms of the TCM group and the combined TCM and Western group were significantly improved(P<0.05).The Western treatment group had a significant improvement in the symptoms of "smart decline,red face,red eyes,dry stools" compared with before treatment(P<0.05).There is a statistically significant difference in the scores of TCM syndromes(except for symptoms such as "dry throat,dry stools,and red stools")in the combination of TCM and Western group(P<0.05).The difference in the symptoms of "urinary redness" between the Western group and the TCM group was statistically significant(P<0.05).(6)After 12 weeks of treatment in the three groups of TCM group,integrated TCM and Western group,and Western group,the effective rates were 53.33%,87.50%,and 80.00%,respectively.The difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).(2)Conclusion The effect of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction combined with donepezil hydrochloride tablets in the treatment of AD is obviously better than that of the TCM group and western medicine treatment group.After treatment of the three groups of patients,their cognitive function has improved to a certain extent,and their self-care ability has been improved to some degrees.Moreover,the TCM syndromes of the patients in each group have improved significantly compared with before treatment.Among them,the effect of the TCM and western group was significant.It's can be suggested that the combined treatment of Alzheimer's disease with traditional Chinese and western medicine is a safe,feasible and effective clinical treatment,and it is worthy of being used in clinical Promotion and application.
