Analysis Of Screening Data Of Neonatal Congenital Heart Disease In 7311 Neonates Recruited From Maternal And Child Health Hospital Of Yancheng

Objective: Screening the congenital heart disease in 7311 neonates recruited from Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Yancheng from 2013 Oct to 2015 Sep by newborn congenital heart disease Simple screening Scheme. In order to demonstrate the incidence of congenital heart disease(CHD),and To verify the feasibility of the Simple screening Scheme.Method: A total of 7311 neonates were included in the screening test. Each neonate would undergo the Simple screening Scheme as the screen tests within 24-72 hours after birth. The patient should do the echocardiogram if any of the screen tests were positive and the result was measured by the experienced cardiologistsResult:1.243 neonates had at least 1 positive result in the screening tests. 47 neonates with oximetry test result was positive(SpO2<95%) and 196 neonates discovered heart murmur via auscultation along with 24 neonates had double positive screening tests result. 2. 133 patients were diagnosed with congenital heart disease via echocardiogram in those with positive screening tests, the incidence of congenital heart disease in this region is 18.1‰. The most three common subtypes of CHD were ventricular septal defect, atrial septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus(68(47.4%) vs. 28(21.1%) vs. 32(24.1%), respectively) which occupies 92.5% of the patients, the rest of them(n=7) were complex congenital heart disease. 3. Due to the specialty of neonate CHD, The self healing rate of atrial septal defect was 32.1%,The self healing rate of Patent ductus arteriosus was 43.7%,The self healing rate of ventricular septal defect was 22.2%,and Total self healing rate of congenital heart disease 27.8% after 3 months follow-up.Conclusion: 1. The incidence of congenital heart disease is 18.1‰ in This study. 2.The newborn congenital heart disease Simple screening Scheme is the effective Screening program,and worthy of popularization. 3. It is critical to screen the neonates for CHD and do the echocardiogram in those with positive screening test result, the close follow-up and early intervention could be essential to the patients who diagnosed with CHD.
