Objective:To observe the clinical efficacies of Diane-35 and Yas min in treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS),and compare the in fluence of two kinds of drugs on lipid metabolism in these patients.methods:66 patients were randomly divided into two groups, were given Diane-35 (36 cases) and Yasmin (30 cases) for 3 months, subsequ ent visit was conducted at 2-5 days during the menstrual cycle, the clinic al indexes such as:body mass index, waist hip ratio, insulin, insulin resis tance index, hormone and blood lipid, before and after treatment were eva luated.Results:Diane-35 and Yasmin can reduce the patients of luteinizin g hormone (LH), testosterone (T), LH/FSH levels (P<0.05). In the Dian e-35 group, after treatment, the levels of total cholesterol (T-CHO), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein cholester ol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein A1 (apo-A1), apolipoprotein B (apo-B), prolact in (PRL) increased significantly(P<0.05),but the progesterone reduced(P<0. 05).In Yasmin group, the T-CHO, HDL-C increased after treatment (P<0.0 5). The changes of Fasting blood glucose、insulin and insulin resistance i ndex in the two groups were not statistically significant (P>0.05).Compar e the difference of each index before and after treatment ilipid disordersn two groups, the level of progesterone decreased obviously in Diane-35 gr oup than Yasmin group. Conclusion:Both Diane-35 and Yasmin have therapeutic effect o n PCOS patients. Although the two drugs can have a certain effect on the patient’s blood lipids, but the study shows that there is no difference bet ween them. On the other way, the two drugs separate application for th is kind of patients in short time with the insulin resistance was not signif icantly improved or enhanced.
